Hello PAX

I’m at PAX in Seattle right now. I spent most of the morning and early afternoon going around the exhibition hall and attending one panel. I’m enjoying this more than I enjoyed previous E3’s. There’s definitely a different vibe: friendlier, more families, not as corporate.
I picked up the Blue Knight at Behemoth’s booth. I’m glad their game is getting so much attention. I liked their work ever since I picked up Alien Hominid on the PS2. The line to get the figure autographed wasn’t too bad either, considering the artist not only autographed the figures, but also drew little characters on each person’s display case.
Games that I checked out so far:
- Bomberman Blast (Wiiware) – same hectic bombing with some wiimote controls thrown in.
- Iron Chef America (Wii and DS) – think Cooking Mama, but more competitive and with Alton Brown butting in every couple of minutes.
- Alien Crush (Wiiware) – I’m not that familiar with pinball games, but I enjoyed what I played with it. I might not have bought it if it was full retail, but at Wiiware prices? Sure.
- Defense Grid: The Awakening – a tower defense game I knew very little about, but am really interested in now.
I still need to write up most of these games for SiliconEra, but I just wanted to do a quick recap first.

[...] Tales of Vesperia (sp?) looks like an awesome RPG for the 360 – Prolly will pick it up soon. Naked Sushi got a Blue Knight. [...]
