The problem with long weekends is that they’re never long enough. I always end up wanting to do something to take advantage of the long weekend, which makes me more tired at the end of the weekend than I was at the beginning.

Friday was 4th of July BBQ with the family. We had our usual chicken and kalbi BBQ. The BF grilled some delicious marinated asparagus and Korean squash. We were gluttons and left stuffed.
Saturday we spent the whole day at Anime Expo 2008. Lots of cosplayers, lots of anime, and lots of walking around. I was stupid and forgot to put on my tennis shoes, so I had to suffer through walking around in flip flops and getting a blister on my foot.
I was surprised by how many video-game cosplayers there were. My favorite was the Scout from TF2. He walked past me and someone else on the other side of the hall shouted, “Need a dispenser here!”
I should have taken more pictures, but I was so overwhelmed with how elaborate some peoples’ costumes were that I just got tired of whipping my camera out each time. What pictures I did take can be found in this flickr set.
