I finally finished the second sock to my first pair of socks. The actual knitting part was pretty easy after I learned how to start the toe (these are toe-up socks) and turn the heel.
The cuffs were a pain in the ass because I had to learn how to do an elastic bind off [...]

Our Chinese New Year dinner included (top to bottom left to right): soy sauce chicken, roasted duck, vegetable stir fry*, bell pepper and mushroom stir fry*, niengao*, kungpao chicken*, shrimp and sugar peas.

Tea Habitat, a friend’s tea shop was having a Chinese New Year mini-party, which I stopped by for. They had a snack table with delicious home-made chicken and mango salad finger sandwiches and restaurant-made deep fried shrimp balls.
The little corner in the back is where we usually have tea when we visit.

Some may say that a game about underwater diving without the stresses of running out of oxygen or being eaten by sharks is boring, but Endless Ocean is fun in a relaxing kind of way. It’s the perfect thing to play after dealing with problem people at work.

Since it’s been colder these past few days, I’ve been craving warm soupy stuff. Last night for dinner, I made a nutritious (I think, at least) brown rice porridge with carrots, shiitake mushroom, radish, mung bean, and flavored with ginger and miso paste.
