Fava bean and polenta soup

fava bean soup
A few nights ago, the BF made a delicious fava bean and polenta soup. The dried fava beans took a long time to cook even though we soaked it all day. The fried pieces of polenta was what really made the soup delicious. They tasted like a fried version of Chinese tamale.

Fun hint: Fava beans are eaten dried and seasoned as a snack in Shanghai.
