Our Chinese New Year dinner included (top to bottom left to right): soy sauce chicken, roasted duck, vegetable stir fry*, bell pepper and mushroom stir fry*, niengao*, kungpao chicken*, shrimp and sugar peas.

Geez, this is not dinner…it’s a FEAST! What is niengao?

Niengao is rice pounded into a cake-type thing. It’s chewy and made out of rice. The Koreans call it dduk I believe.
