There’s a place for abbreviation and bad spelling, such as texting someone from a phone, or even an IM (even though it annoys me), but I can’t stand people who write in short hand and abbreviations on their own site. Unless they’re typing on a treadmill or have some fantastic time-limit where they have to finish writing their entry, there’s no place for spelling ‘you’ as ‘u’!

I was reading some girl’s post on 1up this morning and found an ironic comment. She was criticizing a guy about something:

morons like u, posting comments at a third grade level. then once sum1 visits ur little page we clearly see that ur vocabulary consists of the f-word and little else…
i do not have a penis so u can stop envying me and annoying me at the same time. please go back to writing ur own blogs about how much u hate sony and how much u luv the 360…oh, and dont forget to throw in ur average 13 f-bombs per paragraph, it makes u seem so much more intelligent. but thanks 4 the post! :P

Come on. If you’re going to criticize someone’s comments and vocabularly, at least have the sense to spell your words out correctly.

edit: yes, the mispelling was left in intentionally.
