Give me what I want and no one gets hurt
During the last month or two, a certain company, which will I will call Company X, has been frustrating me to no end at work. One thing I’ve been working on is writing a script to implement Company X’s new API. Usually, I jump for joy for the chance to update our script because a company is finally switching to an API. It wasn’t the case this time.
Long story short, for a month, I kept asking the tech support guy at Company X for an example of one thing, but he kept denying that the example could be used to access his company’s API. Today, someone else on the team e-mailed me back with an example and guess what? It’s EXACTLY what I was asking for a month ago, that the first guy kept saying didn’t exist.
