I went to the Hollywood Bowl this Friday to see a live taping of A Prairie Home Companion. I thought it was going to be a disaster because we were late leaving work and getting there, but everything turned out okay. Meryl Streep and Virginia Madison were doing guest voices on the show and even though I’ve never seen a radio show before, I thought they both did pretty well. I was expecting a lot of re-takes and bloopers, but everything went by smoothly. I guess that’s why they’re professionals. The show got too long after the intermission and I never realized how Christian the show was, but I still had a good time that night.

I’m writing this on my new macbook and I’m beginning to like this thing. What worries me though, is that it gets pretty hot. Like, way too hot to put in my lap hot. I hope it doesn’t end up burning my house down. The lack of focus-follows-mouse or sloppy-focus is getting on my nerves though. I looked everywhere for some kind of setting or hack that I can use to implement that, but so far, no luck.

Do you ever get the feeling when things go well, that something’s going to go wrong any minute? That’s how I’m feeling right now: a dread that all this goodness isn’t going to last. Maybe I’m turning into my emo-ex >.<
