Today is the day that I’m 2 years closer to having my auto insurance rate go down. I thought it was going to be a very happy birthday because some retailers started selling the DS Lites early, but I’m out of luck. The EBGames I preordered the DS at isn’t selling it to me till th 11th even though they have it in the store already. Grrr, what’s the use of holding to the street date if other places have already started selling it?

Fortunately, I have another shiny toy to keep me happy while I wait for the DS: I bought a Macbook! I’m kind of scared of turning into a Mac cultist now. I have to admit, the new macbook looks very nice. I was worried the screen would be too glossy for me, but it seems ok if you angle it correctly and it does make the colors pop up more than a normal matte screen would. So far, my biggest complaint is that I bought the 60gig capacity HD, but when I took it out of the box, I only had 38gigs available to me! I had to delete a bunch of stuff and even now, I only have 43 gigs available. Geeze, and I thought Dell was bad about installing crap you don’t need on laptops.
