Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was once again a success at my house. I had some friends as well as the usual extended family join us for dinner. I was a bit worried for the friends, thinking that my loud and obnoxious family would scare them, but they seemed to be quite at home. Our dinner consisted of turkey, eggrolls, potato salad, biscuits, marinated radish salad, coleslaw, shrimp and marinated red onions salad, soup, and almond jello for dessert. Everyone gained a few pounds that night.

I was amazed at one of my friend’s capacity to eat. He just kept on eating even after he said he was full. I think he ate about twice as much as I did and I eat a lot. I think we should make it an annual tradition to invite starving college kids to Thanksgiving dinner because I think we actually put a dent in our huge pile of food this time.

eggrolls at thanksgiving? odd but sounds tastey. also only one desert sounds off, and the lack of pie is disturbing. i made a couple pies myself to ensure the proper amounts of sugar made it to the table.
