My trigger happy finger deleted my windows partition before I had a chance to think about it while I was about to install linux. I had planned to make it dual boot, but I guess that’s out of the quesiton now. I thought I would be devastated, but strangely, I feel liberated. I’m bummed out that I don’t have any backups of my pictures and music, but I’m trying to convince myself that they’re only bits and not worth worrying over.
Luckily, my 2nd physical hard-drive is still there. I would have been pretty angry at myself for messing that one up. It would have been hours and hours of downloading gone down the drain.
Now all I need to do is how to get Steam (as in steaming pile of crap) working under linux. I guess I’d have to surrender to Cedega.
finally caved in eh? which did you go with? suse has treated me well in switching over, cept i couldnt get any games to work and in my boredom out here ive gone back to heavy pc gaming.
try http://www.runtime.org/ ’s datarecovery, supposed to work even after formats. tho if youve written over it yer outta luck.
