My Little Weakness or How I ended up with La Pucelle Tactics
I don’t like shopping, not because I don’t like buying stuff, but because I end up buying too much stuff. I don’t really need anything, but as soon as I see something shiny or sparkly, I must have it. That’s how I ended up buying La Pucelle Tactics today.
On my way back from a failed trip to Goodwill (failed because I lost the directions to the place and couldn’t find it on my own), I went to Gamestop to pick up Final Fantasy VII, which I had an urge to play recently. I had checked online beforehand and saw that the Gamestop near my house had 1-3 copies left. Unfortunately, when I got there, I learned that they sold the last one yesterday and would not be getting any more.
No problem, I thought. I probably shouldn’t get it anyway because that would mean I’d have to find a PS1 memory card to put my save game on and those aren’t easy to find nowadays. Or are they? The Gamestop actually had the memory cards for sale, so I bought one anyway for $2.99 in case I ever need to use it later. I could have walked out of the door right then, but my curiousity got the better of me and I went to their PS2 games section to see what was new.
That’s where I saw it: La Pucelle Tactics for less than $20. I must have it, and now I do. The good thing is, it’s a game that’s on my “Games I Have To Buy” list. The bad thing is, it’s not what I came in for so it was kind of an impulse buy, something that I’m trying to avoid these days because I really have too much clutter already.
