I successfully got through week 1 of work and did not get fired. In fact, I was doing such a good job, both my supervisor and the VP told me to stop working so hard and go home early to start the long weekend off on a good foot.

I think I’m beginning to get the hang of things and thanks to the wonders of Mozilla and its extensions, I can do a lot of my tasks at an amazing ninja-like speed.

Some of my favorite things about working at PG so far is: we get to stay on AIM all day long and no one really cares if we chat on it as long as we get our work done; flexible hours — I can come in at 8 and leave at 5, or come in at 9 and leave at 6, or 10 to 7, etc.

I just learned of this today, but apparently, friday is “mandatory” 2 hour lunch break day. I was invited out to lunch by two groups of co-workers (heh, this is almost like highschool). Since I already agreed to go with one group today earlier in the week, I had to take a raincheck for next friday with the other group. I went to have some really good Hawaiian BBQ with some co-workers while the other group went to a bar/pool hall by the beach with the VP.

This job is getting a bit too enjoyable. I’m still waiting for the other shoe to drop.
